Cleaning & Sealing Prior to installation we will clean and seal the stone with an impregnating solution. Film Disclaimers Faucets must be removed prior to work being done. Please allow film to cure for 48 hours prior to use and two weeks to fully adhere and cure. Air bubbles and small imperfections will typically correct themselves over time. Marble Armor is a self healing material that will release light scratches and impact marks. Due to this characteristic the film may show a temporary mark if items are left on it overnight or longer. These indentations will eventually release one the item is removed. DO NOT HIT OR SLAM anything including shakers or drink mixers on the film. This will damage the film. DO NOT PICK AT THE EDGES - loosening the edge will compromise the adhesion and void the warranty. ALWAYS USE A CUTTING BOARD. Do not use a knife or cut on the film. DO NOT PLACE HOT ITEMS on the film. Always use a trivet. Warranty: Marble Armor has a 1 year warranty for the film and labor. Lifespan: In Commercial applications, Marble Armor will look aesthetically pleasing for 2 or 3 years+ depending on use. Wear and tear on the film is caused by repetitive movement of items on the films surface causing scratches or cuts in the film. Expect to gradually see wear and tear in high use areas, such as a bar top which may need to be replaced yearly. Replacement: Marble Armor can be replaced by removing the film with a heat gun and then installing a new piece. Some types of stone will require refinishing as removing the film may cause micro pits caused by the film's adhesion but easily remediated by refinishing the stone. Other types of stone will not require refinishing. Air Bubbles: Marble Armor will release air bubbles shortly after installation. Any debris or dust that lands on the tops during installation may appear as a bump in the film. We will do everything in our power to prevent this but there is a possibility of it occurring. Cleaning: Marble Armor will look its best and last longer with proper care and cleaning. Marble Armor will not decompose or degrade with common countertop cleaners but we do suggest using a neutral cleaner, such as dish soap and warm water. A solution of 5% dish soap and 95% water applied with a microfiber rag is recommended to prevent soap residue and build up and minimize the chance of scratching the film. Occasionally, it is recommend to clean the edges and corners using a cotton ball with 70% rubbing alcohol.
